The only thing that I would buy right from the get go is a "wide-narrow chainring" for the front. It's a 104mm, 32T chainring that'll help you keep the chain from coming off. Race Face makes them for around $30, and it's a great addition to the bike. I've been riding this bike since August and absolute love it. I can't say anything bad about it, and I've taken it through some pretty knarly trails/jumps. Verified Purchase This review is from: Diamondback Bicycles Hook Hard Tail Complete Mountain Bike (Sports) Great bicycle! It arrived quickly and setup was easy if you have minimal skills. I watched a few YouTube videos and was able to get the gears and brakes adjusted easily. The components seem to be well made, and I would buy this bicycle again. The only negative I have, is that the tires are directional, and the front tire was mounted on the rim backwards. Other than that, I see myself getting years of use out of this bike. This review is from: Diamondback Bicycles Hook Hard Tail Complete Mountain Bike (Sports) Very happy with this bike! For its size it's fairly light and the 27.5" wheels makes it ride like a dream. Only giving it 4 stars because of the pedals and chain derailed. Pedals are cheap and don't spin freely. Chain derailed causes the chain to jump off if not properly adjusted. And the forks are a bit squishy if you plan on doing serious riding and they don't have a lockout. But for the price you can't beat it. |

Product Description
The hook delivers a pure and simple mountain bike experience, reflecting the Evolution of the hard tail: its light, responsive, and just plain fun to ride. This starts with the frame's slack geometry. Long and low, this bike is worlds apart from hard tails of the past. It maintains the efficient power transfer and precision of cross-country hard tails, but it's made for ripping. Short chain stays and a low bottom bracket make it a blast to ride, especially while descending and cornering. Outfitted with a plush five inch fork, single ring drivetrain, 27.5 inch.
