 Really Good Shoe to Keep You Comfy & Dry, This review is from: Diamondback Men's Overdrive Clipless Mountain Cycling Shoe (Sports) These shoes are pretty good. These aren't my first clipless, but they are my first clipless road shoe. With the inner liner and biking socks they were too big. Regular socks helped. I tried a liner swap and it helped a little with bike socks. The heel feels kinda loose, but I think I just got a size too big. I usually wear a 47 but a 46 probably would work great. Since they are stiffer in the toe, it is not easy or comfortable to use the toe strap to tighten it up, it just felt like the walls of the shoe were digging into my foot when I did this. I did eventually get the shoe to feel comfortable. Heel's still a little loose but only an issue when really pulling up hard otherwise they work great. They were easy to clip in and out and didn't feel like I was slipping around in the pedal. When walking in them I felt comfortable and didn't slip at all on pavement or stone pavers, doesn't click that much, the clip is pretty recessed. Been riding in the wet a bit, Seattle. Not in the... Real good stiffness on the sole, great stiffness when compared to other shoes at the same price. I use these shoes for my bike commute to work. My trail shoes have a buckle instead of a 3rd strap and I figured this might be an issue but it has not been a problem at all. All three straps hold tight and do not slip and I have even started to use on my regular mountain bike rides. The fit was true to size on length, but I found the width a little wide my foot (I have the same issue with Shimano shoes). Have had the shoe for 3 months and durability is not an issue either - its been soaking wet on rain rides, mud covered from the trail, and no issues yet with sole or the upper. The bad: shoe were missing hardware including rubber cleats and rubber covers. That is not diamondbacks fault, that is the distributors fault. |
